Do ebike riders burn as many calories as traditional cyclists? Although riding an ebike is less intensive, a new study from the University of Zurich finds that in the long run, ebikers and standard cyclists engage in similar amounts of physical exertion per week.

Porsche announced it will discontinue Greyp, the Croatian ebike brand it has owned a a majority stake in since 2021, and fold the company into Porsche eBike Performance.

LeMond announced its new All-Road Prolong electric gravel bike will weigh a mere 28 pounds (12.7 kg). Attached to the slim frame is a 250W hub motor offering a 20 mph (32 kph) top speed and 70 miles (112.7 km) of range.

Cannondale is back with another new ebike. The Mavaro Neo SL ebike runs on a 350W Bafang hub motor, claims a 67 mile range (108 km), and offers pedal assistance up to 15.5 mph (25 kph).

German bike-maker Cube has launched the Cube Fold Hybrid, a new electric urban two-wheeler that is equipped with a mid-drive Bosch motor and weighs around 55 pounds (25 kg). The folding bike is easy to store and comes with a long lasting battery.

The Scooterson is a super cool, wacky-looking sit-down scooter with ultra wide wheels. It packs a punch with a 2,000W motor, hits a top speed of 28 mph (45 kph), and claims a range of up to 56 miles (90km).

Belgium-based Trevor Motorcycles released the DTRe Stella way back in 2020 and now the bike is finally now headed for the U.S. The motorbike offers up to 54 mile of range (87 km) and can bring its lightweight frame up 56 mph (90 kph). American buyers can expect a retail price of around $12,000.

Kawasaki’s first two models of electric motorcycles, the Ninja e-1 and Z e-1, are also headed to the U.S. in 2024.

Slovakia-based Patak Motors’ all new Roadster is a vintage-looking electric microcar that reaches a top speed of 80 mph (130 kph) and claims a maximum range of 155 miles (250 km).

Germany’s Möve just unveiled the new Voyager V10, a commuter ebike offered in both step-over and step-through frames. The city bike has a peak power output of 600 watts and has a range of roughly 90 miles (145 km). The battery reaches a full charge in just two hours.

The SRAM Eagle Powertrain is setting a new precedent for bike tech. The mid-drive motor incorporates auto shift technology to predict speed changes and can even change gears when the rider isn’t pedaling. The motor reaches 90 Nm of torque and 680W peak power.

L.A.-based Solé Bicycles is going electric. The company, which has made acoustic bikes for years, just opened preorders for the e-24, a classic SoCal cruiser with a 750W motor that can reach a top speed of 28 mph (45 kph). The manufacturer claims a max range of 40 miles (64 km) on a full charge.

Italian motorcycle maker Ducati is out with a brand-new eMTB that is packed with top-tier components, a Shimano EP801 system, and a full carbon fiber frame. The Powerstage RR Limited Edition, as it’s known, amplifies the rider’s pedaling power by up to 400%, boasting agility and durability with a hefty price tag of €11,990.
