The platform uses an e-bike’s digital twin to support fleet management, service tracking, and connected digital services across the vehicle lifecycle, aiming to improve efficiency and scalability for operators and partners. Bosch says the platform is designed to become a shared digital infrastructure layer for connected e-bike ecosystems, as fleets across Europe continue to expand.
Shared Micromobility Company Lime Files for IPO

Lime has officially filed its S-1 to go public, marking a major milestone for the micromobility industry. The company reported $886.7m in 2025 revenue (+29% YoY), with strong growth across key markets like the U.S. and U.K. However, net losses widened to $59.3m, highlighting ongoing cost pressures despite improving profitability metrics. Lime served 19m riders across 230 cities in 29 countries and is now nearly 3× larger than its closest competitor by monthly users. Its partnership with Uber contributed around 14% of revenue. While operating income turned positive and EBITDA improved significantly, the IPO will also convert ~$892m in debt into equity, leading to notable dilution for new investors.
MyRadl Launches as Germany’s Largest Bikeshare Network

“MyRadl,” a new regional bike-sharing system in Munich, has officially launched, connecting the city with 36 surrounding municipalities. Operated by nextbike, the system will scale to 6.7k+ bikes (including 2.6k e-bikes) across ~1k stations, making it the operator’s largest network to date. Designed as a multimodal transport solution, MyRadl integrates with public transit and allows seamless travel across city boundaries. With affordable pricing and app-based access, the system aims to provide a practical alternative to car travel across the wider Munich region.
Predictive Maintenance In Micromobility

As shared micromobility fleets continue to scale globally, operators are increasingly shifting from reactive repairs to predictive maintenance, using real-time vehicle data and AI to identify issues before breakdowns happen. Companies like Lime, Voi, and Dott are using sensors, IoT connectivity, and machine learning to monitor vehicle health, improve uptime, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance rider safety. The shift is becoming increasingly important as fleets grow into the hundreds of thousands of vehicles, with predictive maintenance emerging as a key tool for improving unit economics, operational efficiency, and city relationships across the industry.

Lime Launches New “LimeBike” Model in Seattle

Lime has introduced a new LimeBike model in Seattle, deploying 500 units as part of a pilot rollout. The new bike features smaller wheels, a lower center of gravity, pedals, and an adjustable seat, making it more stable, accessible, and easier to ride compared to previous models. It blends elements of Lime’s e-bikes and its sit-down scooter (Glider), aiming to appeal to a broader range of users. The launch comes as Lime’s ridership continues to surge in Seattle, with strong growth positioning it as a key part of the city’s urban transport system.
Mexico City to Require Registration for E-Scooters
Mexico City has introduced a sweeping new regulatory framework for electric scooters and micromobility devices, set to roll out through 2H 2026. Higher-powered vehicles (VEMEPE) will now require license plates, registration, and a driver’s license, while lower-speed e-bikes and devices (VEP) will need an official mobility badge to operate in bike lanes. The rules also include helmet mandates, speed and road restrictions, and fines for non-compliance, as the city responds to rapid growth in the sector and aims to improve road safety and regulation of over 200k devices.
Why Sodium-Ion Batteries Matter for Micromobility

Sodium-ion batteries are emerging as a promising alternative to lithium-ion technology, offering lower material costs, better cold-weather performance, faster charging, and improved thermal stability. Because sodium is far more abundant than lithium, the technology could help make e-bikes and EVs more affordable in the future. While sodium-ion batteries still lag behind lithium-ion in energy density and manufacturing scale, companies like CATL are investing heavily in the technology. The expectation is that sodium-ion batteries will play a major role in entry-level micromobility and energy storage rather than fully replacing lithium-ion.

Ride1Up Launches First E-Bike with Semi-Solid State Battery

Ride1Up, a California-based e-bike brand, has introduced the Revv1 EVO, the world’s first e-bike powered by a semi-solid state battery, marking a major technological shift in the industry. The new battery offers longer lifespan (up to ~10 years), faster charging (around 2 hours), improved cold-weather performance, and enhanced safety compared to traditional lithium-ion batteries. Priced at $2,395, the launch signals a potential shift in e-bike expectations, with longer-lasting and safer battery technology becoming a key differentiator going forward.
