Lime e-scooters Return to Lake Tahoe

Lime has brought its shared e-scooter service back to South Lake Tahoe for the 2026 season, with a fleet expected to grow to about 500 Gen4 scooters as demand picks up. Lime is a global operator providing app-based rentals of electric scooters, bikes, and mopeds in cities worldwide, focused on reducing car dependency through convenient, low-emission transport. In Lake Tahoe, the rollout is being managed in coordination with city authorities, with an emphasis on safety, designated parking, and responsible riding as the service resumes for residents and visitors.

Bosch hits 120Nm Torque with a Software Twist

Bosch has introduced Performance Upgrade 2.0, a software-based update that significantly boosts the capabilities of its smart-system e-bike motors without requiring any hardware changes. Available through the Flow app, the upgrade raises torque output to as much as 120 Nm and support levels to 600% on compatible Performance Line CX and CX-R drive units, while also adding adjustable Extended Boost for better control on technical terrain. The update reinforces Bosch’s position as a leader in connected e-bike drive systems, giving riders stronger performance, smarter power delivery, and a more customizable riding experience through a simple over-the-air update.

Chicago Expands Divvy Network

Divvy bikeshare has significantly expanded since June 2025, adding 148 new stations and 1.7k docks, while recording nearly 5m rides. The system now includes 1.1k stations and 17.3k docks, surpassing its density goal with 5.2 stations per square mile. The expansion aims to improve access, reliability, and connectivity with public transit like CTA and Metra, reinforcing bikeshare as a practical option for daily commuting, not just leisure.

Vmoto inks MotoGP deal through 2030

Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Vmoto has secured a global partnership with MotoGP ,the premier motorcycle racing championship, through 2030 to launch three co-branded electric scooter models. The deal grants Vmoto official supplier status and brand visibility across MotoGP’s international race calendar, which spans 20+ events annually and reaches hundreds of millions of viewers worldwide. The company expects the partnership to significantly boost global brand recognition and support long-term sales growth.

Odysse EV sales jump 333% in April

Odysse Electric Vehicles, an Indian manufacturer specializing in electric scooters and motorcycles, reported strong momentum in April 2026, with sales surging 333% YoY to 965 units. The growth is driven by an expanding dealership network, improved product availability, and rising consumer interest in electric two-wheelers across India. As adoption accelerates, the company is focusing on scaling distribution and strengthening its position in the increasingly competitive EV market.

Colwood Launches Shared Micromobility Program

Colwood has rolled out a new shared e-bike and e-scooter program, deploying around 60 vehicles across 15 stations to improve local mobility and reduce reliance on cars. Operated by Evolve E-Bike and E-Scooter Share, the service is part of a growing regional network focused on providing affordable, low-emission transport options. The launch aims to enhance first- and last-mile connectivity while encouraging residents to shift toward more sustainable ways of getting around.

Segway Unveils Xaber 300 E-Dirt Bike

Segway has officially introduced the Xaber 300, a high-performance electric dirt bike designed to compete with established off-road motorcycle brands. Built on insights from its Dakar racing prototype, the bike delivers up to 21 kW of peak power, a top speed of around 60 mph, and multiple riding modes that simulate 150cc to 300cc machines, effectively offering “three bikes in one.” Segway, known globally for its electric scooters, personal transporters, and expanding micromobility portfolio, is leveraging advanced software features like traction control, virtual clutch, and app-based customization to position the Xaber 300 as a serious contender in the growing electric off-road segment.

Solar-powered ELF 3 Velomobile Unveiled

Organic Transit, a North Carolina-based company known for creating the ELF, has introduced the updated ELF 3, a solar-assisted pedal-electric velomobile designed as a low-cost car alternative for urban mobility. The new version adds dual-passenger seating, upgraded suspension, and significantly higher solar charging capacity (up to 400W), alongside a 750W motor and an estimated range of up to 200 miles. Combining pedal power, battery assist, and solar input, the ELF 3 aims to deliver ultra-efficient, zero-emission transport with flexible classification across bike and neighborhood electric vehicle categories.

Merri-bek Offers E-Bike Subsidies for Families

Merri-bek City Council, a local council area in Victoria, Australia,  is expanding its Ride & Stride program, offering families subsidies to switch to e-bikes for daily travel. Eligible households can get $500 off a bike or 50% off a 3-month subscription, aiming to ease cost-of-living pressures and promote sustainable commuting. The program, first launched in 2021, has already supported nearly 200 families and will now extend to all childcare, kindergarten, and primary school communities in Merri-bek.
