Voi Weathers Coldest Winter with 38% Q1 Revenue Growth

Despite enduring its coldest winter on record, Voi achieved a robust 38% YoY revenue increase in Q1 2026, reaching €36.4m and securing its strongest-ever financial start to the year. This growth was underpinned by a 35% rise in vehicle profit and a significant move toward full-year profitability, with the company’s last 12 months adjusted EBITDA hitting €30m. To capitalize on this momentum, Voi is launching a massive spring expansion of over 50k new vehicles, marking a strategic pivot where e-bike deployments will outpace e-scooters for the first time. By entering the Netherlands and scaling operations in major hubs like London and Paris, Voi has demonstrated increased seasonal resilience and a clear path toward profitability.
Lime Survey Highlights Growing Role of Micromobility

A new survey by Lime and Covo Intelligence of over 3k adults across Chicago, New York (Queens and Brooklyn), San Francisco, Seattle, and Vancouver finds that shared e-bikes and scooters are becoming a practical solution to rising commuting stress and costs. More than 8 in 10 residents report feeling frustrated at least sometimes by limited or congested transport options, while more than half say greater access to shared e-bikes and scooters would make their commute easier. With nearly 9 in 10 people adjusting daily choices due to the cost of living, shared micromobility is emerging as an affordable, flexible alternative that improves connectivity, reduces reliance on cars, and supports more sustainable urban travel.

An Introduction to E-Bikes in Australia

Australia’s e-bike market has experienced a massive transformation, headlined by a 2,100% surge in growth between 2017 and 2022. Following the adoption of the 250W "Pedelec" standard and the EN15194 safety regulations, e-bikes transitioned from a niche hobby to a mainstream transport solution, with adult bike sales even outpacing new car sales in recent years. By 2024, annual imports reached over 260k units, supported by state-led rebate schemes in regions like Queensland and Adelaide. This rapid adoption in major urban hubs reflects a significant shift in Australian commuting habits toward a sustainable, low-carbon future.
Bird Canada Scooters Face Possible Removal in Windsor

Bird Canada’s e-scooters and e-bikes could be temporarily removed from Windsor as the city’s five-year pilot program comes to an end.
