At Micromobility Industries, we constantly work to map out the entire ecosystem of companies that are building the future of transportation. Our main tool for this is the Micromobility Landscape.

The Landscape is a complete database that helps us categorize the fast-changing world of small, lightweight vehicles and the services that support them. We first created it in 2019 to capture the new ideas emerging around small electric vehicles. That first version featured 139 companies.

Today, the landscape has grown tremendously. It now includes over 1,400 organizations. These range from new startups to large Fortune 500 companies, showing how quickly global demand for micromobility is expanding.

A View of the Categories and Regions

The Landscape is organized into categories and sub-categories to make it easy to understand. Here is a breakdown of what it contains:

The five main categories are:

  • Vehicles & Services: 793 companies
  • Smart Cities: 201 companies
  • Shared Mobility: 173 companies
  • Software & Services: 166 companies

New Additions to the Landscape

Our database is always updating. Here are some of the newest companies we have added, along with what sets them apart in the evolving micromobility market :

Elssway True Wireless Charging

Based in Israel, Elssway is listed under Software & Services, with a focus on Connectivity & IoT or Parking, Charging & Hubs. The company, established in 2023, uses RF transmission technology for wireless charging, supporting not only shared micromobility vehicles but also autonomous shuttles and delivery robots. A pilot service is set to launch in late 2025.

Key differentiator: Elssway uses a unique pay-per-vehicle-per-day business model. The company raised $1.6M in a pre-seed round in May 2024, backed by Earth & Beyond Ventures.

nfiniity GmbH

Based in Germany, nfinitty GmbH is also part of Software & Services, specifically in the Connectivity & IoT sub-category, where they focus on technology that helps devices connect and communicate.  In August 2025, Canyon Bicycles announced that it would be integrating nfiniity’s V2X tech to its Urban E-Bikes.

Key differentiator: The company is 100% self-funded and maintains close collaboration with bike manufacturers, shared micromobility operators, and component manufacturers.

ARCADE Cycles

ARCADE Cycles is a French company in the Vehicles & Services category, focused on Bikes/B2B Vehicles. They specialize in manufacturing cargo bikes designed for business use. Established in 1995, the company primarily operates on a Business-to-Government (B2G) model and also offers customized design services.

Key differentiator: With an annual production capacity of over 70k units, ARCADE facilitates several government-run bike schemes across France.

ParaCiclo

ParaCiclo is based in Brazil and primarily operates in Latin America. They are in the Software & Services category and the Parking, Charging & Hubs sub-category. They provide solutions for parking and managing micromobility vehicles. The company has successfully filled the void in the Brazilian bike-sharing market, where there haven’t been many companies with the technology to manage the shared bikes in the country

Key differentiator: Paraciclo is 100% bootstrapped and works closely with government bodies to implement city bike parking management solutions.

AVSystem

AVSystem, from Poland, offers software for managing e-bike fleets. Their work includes remote diagnostics and updates, placing them firmly in the Software & Services category. The company was founded in 2006; however, it has expanded its focus towards mobility solutions since 2023. AvSystem’s Anjay IoT SDK and Coiote IoT Device Management Platform can be embedded into the shared micromobility vehicles.

Key differentiator: The company is self-funded and has seen growing demand from the European shared micromobility market. They work closely with component manufacturers and operators.

This growth is more than just a number; it signifies the maturation of the entire sector. We're moving beyond standalone products into integrated systems - where hardware, software, infrastructure, and policy work together. The diversity of new companies, from wireless charging to fleet management, points to a future where micromobility is smarter, more connected, and fundamentally built into the fabric of our cities.

Our Landscape will continue to evolve as the industry does, tracking these innovations and connecting the dots across the globe.
