Voi Joins Lime & Dott in Paris Shared E-Bike Scheme

Starting October 1st, Paris rolled out a new wave of dockless e-bikes, thanks to a fresh four-year contract awarded to three operators: Dott, Lime, and Voi. Each company is now allowed to operate between 3k and 6k e-bikes.

This is Voi’s biggest tender win ever, and can potentially add >€10m to their revenue every year. Meanwhile, Dott officially launched its new Segway Urban B200 e-bikes after a successful pilot earlier this year. Ahead of the launch, Lime reduced its e-bike fleet by 30%, from 9k to 6k, to be compliant.

RideMovi, Ryde Join Frankfurt Shared E-Scooter Fleet

Frankfurt is adding two new e-scooter operators, RideMovi and Ryde, to its existing lineup of Bolt, Dott, Lime, and Voi. The citywide cap will remain at 12,000 scooters. RideMovi will begin service on October 4, while Ryde is set to launch by February 2026. Both providers will receive a special use permit (SNE), issued every six months.

DoorDash Launches Autonomous Delivery Robot

DoorDash has unveiled Dot, its in-house developed autonomous delivery robot designed for local commerce. Dot is engineered to navigate roads, bike lanes, sidewalks, and driveways, operating at speeds of up to 20 mph. Weighing 350 pounds and standing less than five feet tall, Dot can carry up to 30 pounds of goods. It is currently undergoing an early access program in Tempe and Mesa, Arizona, with plans for broader deployment in the Phoenix metro area by the end of 2025.

Dott Launches 24/7 Service in the West of England

Dott has launched a 24/7 micromobility service in the West of England, covering Bristol, Bath, and South Gloucestershire. Starting October 1, 2025, the round-the-clock availability aims to support night-time economy workers and provide residents and visitors with flexible transportation options.

Lime Hits 400K E-Scooter Rides in Vancouver

Lime completed one year of its shared e-scooter program in Vancouver with over 400k rides, fueled by a 400% surge in summer usage after expanding downtown. The company now operates 700 e-scooters and plans to expand to other neighbourhoods. Meanwhile, e-scooter injuries in British Columbia rose to 88 cases in 2023–24, up slightly from 84 the previous year.

Key Biscayne Extends Micromobility Ban

Key Biscayne has extended its ban on micro-mobility devices after the Village Council voted 6-0 to remove the sunset clause from the ordinance. The ban, originally set for 19 months, was prompted by rising complaints and a fatal accident in February 2024. A final vote is scheduled for October 14.

Lime Backs Week Without Driving Campaign in the US

Lime is the title sponsor of America Walks’ “Week Without Driving” campaign, running September 29 – October 5, 2025. During this campaign, Lime will offer 10% off rides, support local events in key cities, and engage communities to advocate for accessible, inclusive mobility.

Portland Launches E-Bike Rebates

Portland’s e-bike rebate program, named “Portland Rides,” is now open, with applications accepted until October 15. The program offers up to $1.9k in rebates, $1.6k for a Class 1 e-bike, and $300 for accessories such as helmets and locks. Funded by the $20m Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund, the program aims to support 6k e-bike purchases over five years, including training for 50 mechanics and infrastructure improvements for bike parking and charging at multi-family housing.

Hackney Council Cuts E-Bike Ride Costs

In the UK, Hackney Council has introduced a new dockless e-bike hire pricing structure, effective October 1, 2025. Under five-year contracts with Lime and Voi, e-bike rides will be capped at £1.75 for 30 minutes, matching the cost of a London bus fare. Lime is also offering a monthly pass, LimePass+, priced at £45, which caps each ride at £1, along with a 70% discount through Lime Access. The initiative aims to make cycling more affordable and accessible, with plans to create 400 designated bike parking bays across the borough by the end of 2026.

Tameside Explores Micromobility Expansion

In the UK, Tameside Council held its first Micromobility Summit to explore introducing bike and scooter hire in the borough. The event was supported by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) and Beryl. The event highlighted that over 1.23m rides have already been logged in Greater Manchester since 2024, and Tameside aims to expand sustainable transport options.
