Yigit Kipman has an M.Sc. in degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and proceeded Ph.D. studies in the area of machine and deep learning. After working as a System Design Engineer for 7 years in a leading defence and aerospace company, he left his job to start his first technology company that disrupted the taxi hailing industry in Istanbul in 2017, which is then operated by local government. Later in 2019, he has founded hop with the cofounding team, which is one of the first micromobility companies in Eastern Europe and Turkey. Currently operating in 21 cities in 3 countries, closed 2 equity rounds in challenging market conditions in the region, hop has grew itself to succeed in being one of the only profitable micromobility companies in Eastern Europe and Turkey. Central to hop's triumph is its pursuit of innovation, the team continuously invest in the development of proprietary core technologies, operational algorithms and tools, positioning the company uniquely with sustainable unit economics.
