With over 30 years within the cycling industry, Richard Wittenberg has seen and been a part of a lot of change and growth in the industry. He began his career in the cycling world like many, in retail working outside of Boston Massachusetts back in 1982. Richard is currently the CEO of electric bike company Troxus Mobility, headquartered in Vista, CA. His history within the industry also includes having owned Lucidity Business Development, which served as the US home to brands such as Selle Italia, Northwave, Ridley, and others. Having also spent many years working directly with suppliers and manufacturers in both Taiwan and China, he’s had his hands deeply involved with some of the industry’s most respected and successful brands. All of these experiences and various roles have given Richard very strong insights into the cycling and micro mobility industry- it’s challenges, it’s successes and failures, as well as its opportunities. In his current leadership role with Troxus Mobility, he is at the front of the rapidly maturing e-bike segment in North America. It is his hope to put his solution-seeking talents to work guiding the brand, as well as the industry, toward a better future.
