Michael Washinushi is the Interim CEO of Bird Global. He joined Bird in January 2023, serving as Chief Financial Officer and leading the company through various milestones towards its goal of being a cash generative business. Mr. Washinushi previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of FreshBooks, a technology company serving small business owners with cloud accounting solutions between 2015 and 2022. Mr. Washinushi was responsible for the financial, planning & analysis, accounting, government relations and legal functions of FreshBooks. Before that, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Sirius XM Canada for more than a decade. Mr. Washinushi has a BA from York University.
