City of Amsterdam

I work for the Innovation Office (CTO) of the City of Amsterdam. Being part of an innovative and vibrant team gives me the energy to contribute to a future-proof, green, and resilient Amsterdam. Within the CTO, we design and run short-term experiments in living labs, working closely with citizens, industry partners, and European stakeholders. My current focus is the digital transition in Smart Mobility, with an emphasis on cyber security, privacy-preserving data sharing, and secure interoperability between all actors in the mobility ecosystem. Mobility data is a crucial building block for creating livable cities of the future. Mobility generates freedom and does not stop at borders; to build a European, connected, and green mobility network, we must align local systems and move together toward truly multimodal travel. A key part of this transition is the emergence of secure digital identity solutions for travel and micromobility. I am actively working on how digital identity, verifiable credentials, and trusted data layers can simplify cross-border travel, enable seamless access to shared mobility services, and strengthen user trust. These developments open the door to a future where citizens can travel across Europe with one secure identity, one set of entitlements, and full transparency about their data. Because mobility data at scale introduces new risks, I am committed to ensuring that this digital transition is built on privacy, security, and trust. By shaping safe and interoperable standards, I aim to help create a Europe where everyone can travel more sustainably, more seamlessly in a safe digital way.
