Erdem is a Copenhagen-based social innovator, and one of the founders and previous CEO of Donkey bikes. Donkey has been an innovator globally with first app- and smart lock based rentals, first shared micromobility without city tenders, virtual stations, and combining short rentals with long ones.

Erdem is also author of The Next Democracy: Reimagining How We Govern Ourselves Through The Power Of Markets And Data. Combining his experience and education on public sector and technology, he is proposing noble ways to improve governance. Impact Market is Erdem's latest initiative, where public authorities can use data-driven and iterative methods to shape citizen behaviour for positive change.

Born and raised in Istanbul, Erdem holds Masters degree in Public Police from UC Berkeley, and worked as a McKinsey guy back in the day.
