About

Ellen Kennedy is a principal on the Carbon-Free Transportation team at RMI and manages its Clean, Equitable, Efficient Transportation initiative. Ellen leads an interdisciplinary team focused on equitable charging solutions for multifamily communities; mode shift to electric light duty, micro, and shared mobility options; and decarbonization strategies connecting land use, housing, and transportation. Prior to joining RMI, Ellen served as the City of San Diego’s Zero Emissions Vehicles Program Manager and worked on residential charging programs for PG&E’s Regulatory and Compliance team. A lifelong learner, she holds a Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Minnesota, a certificate in Corporate Sustainability and Innovation from Harvard University, a certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy from Yale University, and an Envision Sustainability Professional credential.
