Brett Wiley

Senior Program Associate

East Bay Community Energy (EBCE)

About

Brett leads EBCE's residential electric mobility initiatives, including a comprehensive e-bike program and accelerating EV adoption across their Alameda County and San Joaquin County service area. He brings over 15 years of experience centered on the power of people coming together, with the past 12 years focused on expanding our energy democracy and leading initiatives to ensure a just transition. EBCE is one manifestation of that work as a public, not-for-profit community energy provider that provides affordable and renewable electricity to their nearly 650,000 (and growing) customers while reinvesting their net revenue back into the communities they serve. Brett holds a B.S. (Biology) from Truman State University and a MPA (Energy & Sustainable Development) & Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship from Indiana University. He also holds a faculty position at Presidio Graduate School. He has been an avid yet humble bike commuter and public transit rider since selling his car in 2010.
