The UK has revoked tariffs on non-folding e-bikes from China starting 7 February 2025, potentially cutting prices by £200. However, tariffs remain on folding e-bikes due to higher UK production. Non-folding e-bikes constitute around 95% of the UK’s total e-bike market, and current anti-dumping tarrifs range from 10.3% to 70.1%.

Waterloo plans to extend Neuron’s contract until 2029. Total rides fell 9% from 190k (2023) to 173.7k (2024), though the service area expanded significantly in 2024. Tricycles will be tested as part of the program in 2025 to provide accesss for people with disabilities. No shared e-scooter collisions or fatalities were reported in 2024.
Azerbaijan is expanding micromobility with improved infrastructure, including lanes, charging stations, and traffic regulations. From Sep–Dec 2024, 850k rides were recorded with 4.7K vehicles. In Baku, average rides per vehicle per day is as high as 12 while global average in 4-5 rides per day.

Ola Electric reported a net loss of $64.51m for Q3 FY25, up from $42.9m last year. Revenue dropped by 19.36% to $122m. The loss was attributed to heavy discounts to counter competition and investments in improving service quality. As a result, their stock fell by ~6% - YTD, stock is down ~21%.
The U.S. imposed a 10% tariff on Chinese goods, raising total e-bike tariffs to 35%, increasing consumer prices. To avoid this, companies shifted production to Vietnam and Cambodia, but the proposed Reciprocal Trade Act may match their tariffs on U.S. goods.
Vietnam imposes a 45% tariff on U.S. bikes and 55% on e-bikes, which could lead to higher U.S. tariffs on Vietnamese imports. Cambodia's 20% tariff on U.S. e-bikes may also trigger reciprocal tariffs, further impacting prices.
Burlington, Canada, plans an e-scooter share pilot on Centennial Trail, seeking operator proposals and federal funding. The city also aims to enhance the 8 km multi-use path with support from the Active Transportation Fund, which previously funded cycling infrastructure.
Voi Technology has secured a license to launch a shared bike system in Barcelona starting February 10, 2025.
