Drone manufacturer DJI revolutionized the market for small personal flyables and now it may do the same with e-bikes. This week, DJI introduced its new e-bike brand, Amflow, which features 2 new models, PL Carbon and PL Carbon Pro. More excitingly, the bikes will be powered with the mighty Avinox mid-drive e-bike motor, which boasts an impressive 1000-watt peak power and 120Nm of torque in a compact 5.5 lb package, delivering an unparalleled power-to-weight ratio for eMTBs.
Radio Flyer is trying to cater to city riders with the new entry-level Gotour EL e-bike. All three of the new step-through models of the Gotour EL will be equipped with a Bosch Performance Line mid-drive motor, but each will be differentiated by drivetrain options, including an automatic shifting Enviolo hub, Nexus internal shifting hub, or a conventional 9-speed Shimano derailleur.
Acer, known for making computers, entered the e-bike world in 2023 with the Ebii. Building on its initial success, it recently launched several new e-bikes and e-scooters. In addition to an updated Ebii Elite, Acer announced the urban-focused eNomad-R and Acer eNomad-R ST, and finally the eCargo-M for utility and family needs. Lastly, they announced the Acer ES Series 1 and 5 for commuting, the more powerful Predator ES Series 7, and the Predator Extreme for outdoor enthusiasts.
The German e-bike pioneer Raymon has returned as an independent brand after parting ways with PIERER with 3 new full suspension eMTBs. Interestingly, Raymon didn’t show any loyalty to any particular drive manufacturer in its lineup, instead using bespoke motors from ZF, Bosch, and Yamaha that best fit each bike.
Riese & Müller will be among the first e-bike brands to use the Pinion MGU drive system, which combines the mid-drive motor and an automatic shifting drivetrain in one unit located at the crankcase. The new 2025 Delite5 and Homage5, which use the MGU drive system aren’t new product lines but redesigned updates to its popular full suspension Delite and Homage models.
